We want to introduce you a project that we already presented some time ago in our blog Heraldo de Elyria under the name Proyecto Colono: the building of a town called Tarsis Barony.
The main goal is to create a meeting point for all the spanish-speakers who want to join it. We want to build a town where Spanish would be the official language in addition to english.
As we know, CoE will have a high social component, interactions between players will be necessary to achieve goals (resources, food, buildings, etc.) . Because of this, we’re going to put our effort on all the playing styles, including Roleplay.
Addittionally, now that we reached the county seat, we can accomodate other baronies or new settlements and projects willing to join our community.
There would be many spanish speaking players interested in CoE but some of them don’t have enough english skills or they just prefer to play in their native language or maybe players who want to learn spanish. For all of them we made this project, in order to build a meeting place, a home.
If we are more than one barony, we can build commercial routes inbetween the settlements in order to benefit all of them.
CONTEXT AND INFLUENCES
The name of Tarsis comes from one of the ancient iberian civilizations: Tartessos. Furthermore, we’ll have roman and greek influences (building structures and disposition, etc).
We want to create a specific common lore for all the inhabitants where our particularity (the common use of a second language) is explained and as a link for all the families in there in order to help them to create their own related legends.
Counts: Their duties consist in enforce the law, protect the county, plannify and execute new public buildings and structures. They must work to increase the county's prosperity.
Barons: their task is to manage barony resources, arbitrate conflicts, and ensure the laws of the kingdom. Their function is to guarantee the peace and security of the town. Barons have executive and judiciary power.
Citizen Assembly: formed by house holders of each family or, if the town grows a lot and it’s impractical to bring them together, then would be the elected representatives. Their functions are to advise the barons, to develop and to vote the baronies laws. To be part of this, the family must have lands in property. The Assembly will be the depositary of the legislative power.
Non citizen inhabitants: those who don’t have land in property. They are equals to all others at law and will have the same rights and duties except they cannot become part of the assembly.
HOW TO JOIN TARSIS
Everyone can join freely this project. We want to build a welcoming community to share efforts in order to grow and get stronger together.
To join us, you just need to contact us on this thread or by PM (to Daedhel or Gammea). As soon as possible we’ll send you a discord invitation to easily keep in contact.
About how to join us in game, there are two ways:
Before Exposition (period of prelaunch playtime) you can buy lands with IP and, when time comes, select Tarsis capital to settle them. These lands are yours, of course.
After game launch, travel to the county and acquire lands (buying, renting or with adverse possession -remembe that the owner can try to kick you of his lands out). Now you can settle and build your home. *Other baronies and land owners who want to join our County can place their holdings during preExposition.
